Finalize Development and Launch Linus!

Help us finish development of Linus and get this exciting new resource into the hands of music teachers across the country!

About the campaign

If this is your first introduction to Linus, welcome! We're thrilled you're here—reading about a product that has the potential to enhance the work of private music teachers across the country. Linus is about real music teachers and real students.

We've done a significant amount of strategic planning and market research and have hired a genius developer who is currently hard at work making Linus a reality. We're on track to be ready for users in September.

In the months from the conception of Linus until this point, we've covered our expenses out-of-pocket, including the initial development costs. As we approach the product launch, we need this loan to help us pay the final development costs (so we actually own Linus!) and fund our initial marketing campaign.

Would you consider supporting us in this endeavor?

About Learn With Linus

Linus is a revolutionary new resource designed to support and enhance private music education. Linus provides teachers with an online customizable bank of music theory concepts (written, visual, & audio formats) that can be assigned to individual students. Traditional methods for teaching theory include flash cards, worksheets, and theory workbooks, all of which either take up lesson time or demand significant extra work from the teacher. Enter Linus. Linus is an online software platform that we've designed with these specific needs in mind. We're describing it as "a music theory learning space." Basically, it's a highly customizable, easy-to-use program that helps teachers reinforce music theory concepts with individual students without taking valuable lesson time. Visit our website if you're interested in specifics.

One of our key values is our belief in the important role of the human teacher. From the start, we've designed Linus to support and complement real lessons, with real teachers. We're committed to supporting and enhancing the work that teachers are already doing through technology that helps them take learning outside the lesson time.

Learn With Linus was established in 2015, and is located in Seattle, WA.

Partner with community sourced capital

Community Sourced Capital exists so that businesses can access affordable capital from their community

By connecting community members, small business owners and mission-aligned funders to the goal of creating healthy communities, we’re introducing a new purpose for financial systems, removing barriers to success for entrepreneurs, and building meaningful relationships around money.

Providing affordable capital to community businesses is vital to our economy

Small businesses are the key generators of jobs in our economy and character in our communities. Everyone seems to know that. What most people don't know is how important funding is to the success of a business.

Even in this day and age, most small businesses simply cannot access the funding they need to succeed. New lenders have emerged to serve this need, but many of them charge equivalent interest rates upwards of 20 or 50 percent. These rates can compromise the stability of the businesses that ultimately provide stability to our communities.

Participate in a financial system for communities, by communities

Join a growing community of lenders regenerating their local economies through finance. Participate in a loan for a small business. Grow your business with your community. Invest in the success of your neighbor.

That's the spirit behind Community Sourced Capital's motto: Fund the world you want to live in.
