fuAsian is Building a Rolling Kitchen, fuAsian Cuisine Roulante

Our catering and cooking classes have become increasingly more popular so we've decided to make our kitchen mobile.

About the campaign

Who Is fuAsian

Thu Ha launched fuAsian in 2010 offering cooking classes, catering and private dinners. fuAsian's mission is to inspire people to bring healthy Asian cooking into their homes through classes and their signature sauce line. Thu Ha began cooking alongside her mom at the age of 7. For over 25 years, she has developed her eclectic palate for ethnic cuisines through working and honing her skills with many talented chefs in the restaurant industry. She delights in making people happy with her effervescence persona.

What Your Participation Will Do For fuAsian

After 5 years in business fuAsian is ready to take the next big step which will be to transition from its restaurant location in Lake Oswego to a mobile commercial kitchen. Thu Ha will continue to offer cooking classes and catering, but hopes to reach more customers through the mobile kitchen, which will be stationed at various locations. fuAsian has also developed a signature Asian sauce line and will use the funding to help market and distribute this product. Thu Ha hopes to inspire more people to cook at home using her sauces with high quality ingredients.

How You Can Get Involved

Please consider buying a square in our campaign to make fuAsian mobile kitchen possible. Thu Ha's plan is to use the new mobile kitchen at farmers markets and events all around the Portland area to cater and give quick hands-on cooking lessons.

Partner with community sourced capital

Community Sourced Capital exists so that businesses can access affordable capital from their community

By connecting community members, small business owners and mission-aligned funders to the goal of creating healthy communities, we’re introducing a new purpose for financial systems, removing barriers to success for entrepreneurs, and building meaningful relationships around money.

Providing affordable capital to community businesses is vital to our economy

Small businesses are the key generators of jobs in our economy and character in our communities. Everyone seems to know that. What most people don't know is how important funding is to the success of a business.

Even in this day and age, most small businesses simply cannot access the funding they need to succeed. New lenders have emerged to serve this need, but many of them charge equivalent interest rates upwards of 20 or 50 percent. These rates can compromise the stability of the businesses that ultimately provide stability to our communities.

Participate in a financial system for communities, by communities

Join a growing community of lenders regenerating their local economies through finance. Participate in a loan for a small business. Grow your business with your community. Invest in the success of your neighbor.

That's the spirit behind Community Sourced Capital's motto: Fund the world you want to live in.
