Green Drop Garage Expansion into Moreland!

After 5 years, we are expanding to a second location in the Eastmoreland/Woodstock neighborhood!

About the campaign

This funding will help Green Drop Garage to fuel its expansion into a second location in the beautiful East Moreland/Woodstock neighborhood of Portland. We found a stellar location and are looking to start construction ASAP and open our doors in late summer 2015.

From loaning out bicycles to offering fresh (seasonal) veggies with your service to offering evening car care classes, the second location will replicate everything that is awesome about Green Drop Garage. The economies of scale will also allow us to further advance our Triple Bottom Line values by increasing employee benefits and providing more advancement opportunities within the company.

How You Can Make an Impact

Please considering becoming a squareholder in this campaign. We will use the funds to buy equipment, signage, paint, and also upgrade and streamline some of our technology systems. Your participation in helping us launch this second location will create 15 new well-paying jobs, and provide advancement opportunities for our awesome existing employees.

Expanding a Community Garage

Green Drop is committed to reducing environmental impact, both in the garage and on the road. From using low-VOC chemicals to re-refined oils and coolants to promoting alternate forms of transportation, we are doing our part to make this planet last a little bit longer.

We we feel that our core values align with the community. We work with local non-profits to creatively help, our environmental initiatives lead the industry in pollution prevention, and we work with local businesses in win-win promotions.

About Green Drop Garage

Things are different around here. Yeah, at Green Drop Garage, we fix cars. But we also love bikes, teach repair classes, and can even convert your diesel to veggie. Our knowledgeable mechanics will partner with you to keep your car and our community running well. We live, work and play in this amazing city, and are continually working to decrease the environmental impact of our shop. We want to make car repair a little more green and a lot less stressful.

Green Drop Garage was established in 2009, and is located in Portland, OR.

Partner with community sourced capital

Community Sourced Capital exists so that businesses can access affordable capital from their community

By connecting community members, small business owners and mission-aligned funders to the goal of creating healthy communities, we’re introducing a new purpose for financial systems, removing barriers to success for entrepreneurs, and building meaningful relationships around money.

Providing affordable capital to community businesses is vital to our economy

Small businesses are the key generators of jobs in our economy and character in our communities. Everyone seems to know that. What most people don't know is how important funding is to the success of a business.

Even in this day and age, most small businesses simply cannot access the funding they need to succeed. New lenders have emerged to serve this need, but many of them charge equivalent interest rates upwards of 20 or 50 percent. These rates can compromise the stability of the businesses that ultimately provide stability to our communities.

Participate in a financial system for communities, by communities

Join a growing community of lenders regenerating their local economies through finance. Participate in a loan for a small business. Grow your business with your community. Invest in the success of your neighbor.

That's the spirit behind Community Sourced Capital's motto: Fund the world you want to live in.
