Help Broadcast Coffee update our Central District cafe!

We're improving our space and expanding our menu to bring more fresh food options to the neighborhood.

About the campaign

Let's face it. The Central District has a shortage of places to grab a quick bite to eat, especially in the mornings. For the past 7 years we have brought you great coffee and pastries, but now it is time to grow our menu and bring more fresh food options to the neighborhood.

This loan will launch Broadcast into a full spectrum cafe, meeting a need for fresh food options in the neighborhood.

The funds we raise in this campaign will go towards a café update: a refresh of the space, designing a more efficient kitchen space for expanded menu and faster service. This campaign enables us to evolve into a café that provides a better customer experience, bringing fresh food to the corner of 20th and Yesler, and a better hang out spot.

Broadcast has been part of the Central District community for many years. We've watched your kids grow up as we've sent you off to work in the mornings with a hot cup of coffee in hand. Heck, some of those kids are now doing their homework in our shop in the afternoons! We've been there for each other over the years and together, with your support, we can turn Broadcast into something greater than it already it. Join our campaign to update or Central District café!

About Broadcast Coffee Roasters

We have 3 neighborhood location cafe’s in the Central District, Capitol Hill, Roosevelt and a Roastery in Interbay. We source organic, fair/direct trade coffee, only serving coffee that’s in season. Our craft is coffee, our specialty is the customer experience.

Broadcast offers an inviting space for folks in our community to join us for a great cup of coffee, we also love talking about coffee, where we source from without pretension. When its time to add an employee to our organization, we often look no further than the guests who come in and support our company. We are a growing company, with these new funds we look to add a couple positions in the cafe.

Broadcast Coffee Roasters was established in 2008, and is located in Seattle, WA.

Partner with community sourced capital

Community Sourced Capital exists so that businesses can access affordable capital from their community

By connecting community members, small business owners and mission-aligned funders to the goal of creating healthy communities, we’re introducing a new purpose for financial systems, removing barriers to success for entrepreneurs, and building meaningful relationships around money.

Providing affordable capital to community businesses is vital to our economy

Small businesses are the key generators of jobs in our economy and character in our communities. Everyone seems to know that. What most people don't know is how important funding is to the success of a business.

Even in this day and age, most small businesses simply cannot access the funding they need to succeed. New lenders have emerged to serve this need, but many of them charge equivalent interest rates upwards of 20 or 50 percent. These rates can compromise the stability of the businesses that ultimately provide stability to our communities.

Participate in a financial system for communities, by communities

Join a growing community of lenders regenerating their local economies through finance. Participate in a loan for a small business. Grow your business with your community. Invest in the success of your neighbor.

That's the spirit behind Community Sourced Capital's motto: Fund the world you want to live in.
