Mighty-O is opening a second shop. Help fund the Donut Robot!

We're opening our second shop in Ballard this summer! Help us fund the purchase of the most important piece of equipment: The Donut Robot!

About the campaign

This July we will be opening our second Mighty-O location! We have secured the majority of the funds, but want to bring our community on board to help purchase the final piece of equipment to open the doors on our new shop: The Donut Robot!

This piece of equipment is the most important part of a donut shop, and we want it to come right from the people who will benefit from its existence: the Mighty-O community! We would be delighted to have you join in the excitement of establishing another place where you can enjoy delicious, non-GMO and organic treats. Will you come aboard?

In return, with every Mighty-O donut sold, we will further non-GMO awareness, support local organic farmers, and give back to our community.

In our 15 years we've helped feed community with more than made-from-scratch specialty donuts by nourishing the spirit of a sustainable lifestyle. We give to local non-profits who help our homeless, we've donated to a multitude of charities, we've welcomed school children of all ages with our field trips, and we are committed to achieving zero waste at our shops.

Our company works in support of our community to do our best for the world and we would love your support as we embark on our next phase of growth through helping us purchase the Donut Robot for our new Ballard shop!

About Mighty-O Donuts

Mighty-O Donuts is a sustainably- minded company that cares about people and the environment. Every donut we sell supports a sustainable and organic philosophy - choose partners who care for the environment. We have been making our own donuts and glazes from scratch, verses a mix, since 2000. Using organic ingredients from other sustainable companies , we value and support other companies who also have adopted mindful earth-friendly practices.

Here are some ways we provide a working example of a triple bottom line business in the community: * Purchase from companies who practice sustainable agriculture, aiming to minimize their impact on the environment and who also treat farmers and employees fairly. *Our bakery/cafe in Wallingford recycles and compost 99% of its waste. *Our Tukwila Wholesale Bakery and Warehouse was recently awarded the Tukwila Recycler of the year for outstanding waste management practices. *Excess edible donuts are donated to people-in-need via food banks like Food Lifeline and Operation Sack Lunch. 2000-3000 donuts a month. *We donate $700-$1000 monthly in cash, gift cards or product to non-profit organisations. *We give tours explaining donut making and the attributes of using organic ingredients and being mindful of the environment

Mighty-O Donuts was established in 2000, and is located in Seattle, WA.

Partner with community sourced capital

Community Sourced Capital exists so that businesses can access affordable capital from their community

By connecting community members, small business owners and mission-aligned funders to the goal of creating healthy communities, we’re introducing a new purpose for financial systems, removing barriers to success for entrepreneurs, and building meaningful relationships around money.

Providing affordable capital to community businesses is vital to our economy

Small businesses are the key generators of jobs in our economy and character in our communities. Everyone seems to know that. What most people don't know is how important funding is to the success of a business.

Even in this day and age, most small businesses simply cannot access the funding they need to succeed. New lenders have emerged to serve this need, but many of them charge equivalent interest rates upwards of 20 or 50 percent. These rates can compromise the stability of the businesses that ultimately provide stability to our communities.

Participate in a financial system for communities, by communities

Join a growing community of lenders regenerating their local economies through finance. Participate in a loan for a small business. Grow your business with your community. Invest in the success of your neighbor.

That's the spirit behind Community Sourced Capital's motto: Fund the world you want to live in.
