"Mollusk" a new brewpub by Epic Ales and Gastropod

We are expanding to a new highly accessible location on Dexter called Mollusk. It will have a 7 barrel brew house and seat 100 people.

About the campaign

As Seattle Natives, we believe that there is a serious lack of interesting bars and restaurants at a decent price point in town, especially in comparison to what we grew up with. With our experience at Epic Ales at Gastropod, we're excited to introduce a new concept called Mollusk, to bring diverse groups together to enjoy beers from different styles around the world, plus food that can happily feed vegetarians and meat lovers. It's a modern brew house, and our recent pop ups have been immensely popular.

We believe that people in Seattle care about the quality and innovation in the food and beverage world.

The impact this community loan will have on our business is both social and personal. Having our community officially voting with their dollars helps us build confidence in our ability to make Mollusk everything that it can be and more. And beyond that, we are excited to ask our community to take part in showing that small businesses can succeed and deliver value to their community through job creation and building the local economy. We're excited to employ more people who want to be part of this mission too.

About Epic Ales

Epic Ales is owned and operated by Anthony Travis Kukull and Cody Lee Morris. It is a five year old company located in SODO. Gastropod is our brewpub which has been open for 2 years now. We are trying to raise capital for another brewpub located at 801 dexter ave north in Seattle. We are calling this brewpub Mollusk. It will have a 7 barrel brewery and seat 100.

We take risks to offer the community something new and different in brewing and in food.

Epic Ales was established in 2008, and is located in Seattle, WA.

Partner with community sourced capital

Community Sourced Capital exists so that businesses can access affordable capital from their community

By connecting community members, small business owners and mission-aligned funders to the goal of creating healthy communities, we’re introducing a new purpose for financial systems, removing barriers to success for entrepreneurs, and building meaningful relationships around money.

Providing affordable capital to community businesses is vital to our economy

Small businesses are the key generators of jobs in our economy and character in our communities. Everyone seems to know that. What most people don't know is how important funding is to the success of a business.

Even in this day and age, most small businesses simply cannot access the funding they need to succeed. New lenders have emerged to serve this need, but many of them charge equivalent interest rates upwards of 20 or 50 percent. These rates can compromise the stability of the businesses that ultimately provide stability to our communities.

Participate in a financial system for communities, by communities

Join a growing community of lenders regenerating their local economies through finance. Participate in a loan for a small business. Grow your business with your community. Invest in the success of your neighbor.

That's the spirit behind Community Sourced Capital's motto: Fund the world you want to live in.
